Mainstreaming Alternative Perspectives (MAP) is a platform for communities, organisations, businesses and governments that promotes alternative models of development that show and encourage a transition to green, inclusive, fair and transparent economies. As a knowledge hub, MAP-SA captures on-ground practices, state and national policies, perspectives and research reports to inform and build the transition towards green inclusive economies. As a dialogue hub, MAP-SA provides a forum for discussions and deliberations for all who have a point of view to share; and thereby identfy levers of change to enable a greener and inclusive economy transition.
MAP-SA is coordinated by Development Alternatives as the South Asian partner for the global movement for a new economy (Green Economy Coalition). Through this initiative we aim to collect, synergize and build a southern perspective for a transition to a new economy.
Our MAP aims to capture alternative perspectives of development led by new economy actors that are catalyzing a green economy transition in India. It creates a space for our communities, organisations, and governments to interact, learn and share on-the-ground practices or actions as well as conversations or thoughts. TALK! is a moderated forum with a new topic every month to discuss and ideate on possible learnings and collaborations stemming from the MAP and elsewhere.
